How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After practicing commercial litigation, construction litigation and insurance defense for eight years, I helped an employee of a client with a small family matter. That coincided with the time I started my own family, and made a conscious decision that helping individuals get through tough times and helping parents make the best of a difficult situation was where I wanted to concentrate my practice.
In addition to my Doctor of Laws degree, I also hold a BBA and an MBA with a concentration in finance, that enables me to understand and assist clients with the financial side of divorce and family cases.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I approach family law with a heart. Each client is going through a very difficult time, and I try to help them understand that my goal is to get that person through this situation as quickly and expeditiously as possible. My first approach is always an attempt to amicably resolve matters because prolonged fighting only creates more misery and drains more of the family's financial resources. Still, I remain a tough advocate to ensure my client's rights and children's rights are protected.
