How long have you been in business?
In 1980, we started GSD Contracting as a boutique firm and earned our reputation one project at a time.
What is your primary product or service?
Today, we’ve grown into a large commercial construction company with expertise in everything from assisted living and medical facilities to fitness centers and houses of worship in South Florida and beyond. Early on we defined our mission as “building trust” and to this day it represents how we operate. Through transparency in our dealings to honesty in our conduct, everyone in the company—field personnel, management, accounting and office staff—embraces the opportunity to earn your trust and a long-term relationship. By treating our vendors the same way, we have on our roster the best in the business.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
It all began when we were teenagers. Assisting our father, a lather, on his projects not only exposed us to the trades, but taught us the value of hard work and integrity and the satisfaction of a job well done.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The greatest compliment a client can pay us is the offer of repeat business. We’ve been honored to be the building contractor on multiple projects for expanding retailers and fast-growing healthcare companies both local and national. The Archdiocese of Miami has entrusted us with their sacred facilities, community centers and schools. Sound Advice, an electronics retailer, asked us to build a custom, high-tech showroom. And the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, where “trust” takes on an even higher level of meaning, has returned for our services again and again over the years.
